Mother's Day 2017

Building a home for Jocy and her family in 2017.
Mother's Day Campaign Recap - From Las Malvinas to your mother and back.

Jocy has been a true blessing for our little company - her hard work and resourcefulness has been key to getting Esperanza off the ground. She's loyal, creative and has slowly taken on the leadership at our factory.

Jocy dreams of finishing her house, a project she started with her husband Ismael 10 years ago. They literally have been building it 'brick by brick'; with what little they can save they've bought bits of materials and erected a shell of a house (see pictures below). Now that Jocy is working with Esperanza they can save a little more, but  still cannot save enough to build their house anytime in the near future.

We decided that had to change, and set a goal for Esperanza that Jocy would move into her new house by the end of 2017. With a goal of $1750, we launched a Mother's Day campaign with products that would donate all their profits to Jocy's house fund (see campaign text below).

The Mother's Day campaign sold $370, with funds for Jocy amounting almost $200 (each product contained a donation from the buyer and one committed by Esperanza).  Early June we wired funds to Jocy which, in addition with money she had saved, paid for labor and materials that considerably advanced the construction of the house (We're about 40% there!). Below are pictures Jocy sent us - with the floor and walls being covered, the roof going on, and electrical piping weaved inside.

The house didn't have a floor nor roof. Funds raised during Mother's day contributed to the floor, roof and electrical piping be installed.

With further funding we hope to insulate the roof from below, so heat doesn't radiate down!

We're still fundraising! Soon we'll have new products that will delight you and help Jocy's family move into a new dwelling. Stay tuned! Sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of the page.

Mother's Day Campaign

This Mother's Day we want to give our customers an opportunity to surprise their mother with a beautiful gift,
and in addition, truly impact the life of another mother:
Jocy, our stellar soapmaker and mother of 4 beautiful little kids.
Jocy has been a true blessing for our little company and her hard work and resourcefulness has been key to getting Esperanza off the ground.

On our last trip we sat down with Jocy and went over the list of materials she needs to finish her house: cement, gravel, wood boards, roofing sheets, paint, nails, pipes and water/electrical connections. With less than $1,750* Jocy and Ismael could finish the bulk of construction and move into a much better, bigger and healthier environment with their family.

This is where we work together to make it happen. We've created 3 gift options for Mother's Day so you can join us in helping Jocy build her house. Every gift has Jocy's work in it, and every option has a price scale that includes a donation that'll go directly to her house fund. It's as easy as:

1. Pick a gift option       -      2. Choose your donation      -      3. Shower two mothers with love!

Mother's Day Option 1 -  2 bars of Soap, a Soap deck and a card.
